We run acquisition for blockchain protocols and platforms whose buyer is an investor, not a consumer. Lending markets, vaults, staking products, exchanges, launchpads and tokenisation platforms. The job is not awareness: it is deposits, funded accounts and capital that stays.
Protocol marketing is a different problem
Most agencies arriving from consumer marketing treat a protocol like an app. It is not. Four things change:
01
The buyer is informed and sceptical
Someone deciding where to put capital reads the docs, checks the audits and asks who the team is. Promotional copy does not move them — evidence does.
02
The product is abstract
Explaining a vault strategy, a collateral ratio or a liquidation threshold is half the marketing. If the explanation fails, nothing else matters.
03
Trust is the bottleneck, not attention
Plenty of people find these products. Far fewer deposit. The gap is almost always confidence, not traffic.
04
Regulation sets the limits
What you can claim, who you can target and how you must disclose it are not creative decisions. In the European Union, MiCA has governed crypto-asset service providers since late 2024.
Lending, borrowing and vaults
Products built on lending markets — supplying assets, borrowing against collateral, automated vault strategies on top of protocols like Aave — share an acquisition problem: the person who understands them is already somewhere else, and the person who does not understand them will not deposit.
The person who understands this is already somewhere else; the person who does not will not deposit.
So the work splits in two. Explaining the mechanism clearly enough that a cautious investor can evaluate it, and then measuring whether that explanation converts into a first deposit. We instrument the funnel before spending: wallet connection, first deposit, size of that deposit, and whether the capital is still there ninety days later. Reporting on sessions and impressions tells you nothing about any of that.
Tokenisation and real-world assets
Tokenised real estate, debt, funds and other real-world assets sit between two audiences that rarely overlap: people comfortable with crypto who are new to the underlying asset, and traditional investors who understand the asset but distrust the rails.
Audience 1
Comfortable with crypto
Understands
The rails: wallets, tokens and how capital moves on-chain.
Is new to
The underlying asset: real estate, debt or a fund.
Audience 2
The traditional investor
Understands
The asset.
Distrusts
The rails.
They need different arguments, different proof and often different channels. We separate them and measure them separately.
They need different arguments, different proof and often different channels, and the most common mistake is writing one message for both. We separate them, measure them separately, and route each to the part of the product that fits.
Lead generation for investors and funds
Raising from retail and raising from funds are not the same campaign.
Retail investors
Paid acquisition and content built around the specific objection that stops the deposit, with qualification before anyone reaches a sales conversation.
Private investors and funds
A smaller, slower list where the asset is credibility: documentation, track record, third-party coverage and warm introductions. Volume is irrelevant here; fit is everything.
Listings and launches
Exchange listings, launchpads and token events, coordinated so that the demand arrives when the product is ready rather than before.
A client: Reental
We work with Reental, a Spanish real-estate tokenisation platform. It is exactly the situation described above: part of their investor base arrives from crypto and needs to understand the property, and part arrives from traditional real-estate investing and needs to understand the token. Two different conversations about one product.
What we measure
We agree one business metric before we start and report against it. Depending on the product, that is usually total value locked, net deposits, cost per funded account or ninety-day retained capital.
We instrument this funnel before spending. Sessions and impressions tell you nothing about it.
Total value lockedCapital in the protocol, not visitors.
Net depositsWhat came in minus what left.
Cost per funded accountPer account that deposits, not per sign-up.
90-day retained capitalWhat is still there three months later.
We do not report reach or impressions as results. If a channel cannot be tied to one of those numbers, we say so instead of filling a slide with it.
Why us for this
We have worked in this sector since 2021, through a full cycle: launches that went well, launches that did not, and the regulatory tightening in between. That history is the reason we are sceptical of tactics that look good in a deck and do not survive contact with a real investor.
We also do not take two competitors in the same category and market. If we are working with a protocol, we are not working with its direct rival.
If you are running a protocol, a tokenisation platform or a fund and your acquisition is not turning into deposits, tell us what you are measuring and we will tell you what we would look at first. Thirty minutes, no agency pitch.
